Data-driven risk assessment as a catalyst for green growth in the wind turbine industry

Wind turbines today have an average life of approx. 35 years. The offshore installation often costs more than 10x as much as land-based installations. That’s why it’s good with a vision is to develop a number of new services with data-driven risk assessment that quantify risks to a much greater extent. Data driven production control and in-service wind turbine inspection will minimize repairs and unnecessary replacements for the benefit of the entire industry. It will provide great value for the industry and not least the end users.

Monitoring solutions with robust sensor systems throughout their lifetime will contribute to optimal operation and maintenance of wind turbines. Modular simulator modeling of offshore wind turbines and building a data-driven risk quantification tool is a complex and demanding challenge.

FORCE Technology has in-depth knowledge of the industry and participates in development projects as a key supplier across the entire value chain from material selection, fatigue testing, advanced inspection, digital twins, reliability and life expectancy, lifetime extensions and more.

With skilled partners a collection of design, production, installation and maintenance of wind turbines will form a good foundation for risk assessment for the benefit of the entire industry. This will serve as a naturally link to the industry internationally.
