NDE 4.0 Emerged and developed

NDE 4.0 emerged and developed together with Industry 4.0. New powerfull processors and data storage are opening the possibilities to utilise Augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligent (AI). AR and AI are rapidly entering into the areas of testing, inspection and certification (TiC). A major technology change and very positive for all parties working within the TiC business and the industry in general.

Non-destructive examination ( NDE )

Development of non-destructive examination techniques began years ago when it became more and more common to join materials by means of welding, and the need arose to check the quality of the welded joints.

What is NDE ? or Non-destructive examination ? Non-destructive evaluation ?

Non-destructive examination tools such as X-rays (radiography), ultrasonic, dye penetrant methods, magnetic particles techniques etc were employed to detect defects which had occurred in connection with or as a consequence of manufacturing processes. These testing methods are collectively referred to as Non-destructive examination, Non-destructive evaluation or even non-destructive testing (NDT).

Certifications within NDE

The basic certifications are transferable to different industries and the possibilities are endless; aerospace industry, the petroleum industry, the nuclear energy industry, the auto industry, the construction industry etc.

Note, that the aerospace and nuclear energy industry requires additional certifications.
