Copenhagen Atomics chooses the right path with the development of mass-produced heavy water moderated, single fluid, fluoride salt based, thermal spectrum, molten salt reactor.
The paperwork and information for the “approval authorities” should be carried out in parallel. It makes the whole approval process easier. I really hope that Copenhagen Atomics will have great success with their waste burner installed in a leak tight 40-foot shipping container surrounded by a shielding blanket of frozen thorium salt.
It is a very interesting technology that, together with Power-to-X, can make a significant contribution to the overall CO2 reduction.
